Hyrox sends cease-and-desist letters to third-party results sites

Hyrox has sent cease-and-desist letters to at least eight third-party platforms. The organization claims these platforms scraped data from the official Hyrox results database and used the brand without permission.
The letters were sent by the legal department of Hyrox World GmbH in Hamburg. Each recipient has seven days to confirm in writing that it has complied with the demands.
For Dutch Hyrox fans, this news is relevant because many popular third-party tools for viewing results and statistics depend on these kinds of data platforms. It remains unclear which specific services received a letter.
The move shows that Hyrox is taking an increasingly strict approach to controlling its own data and brand use. How this will affect the community that has grown accustomed to convenient third-party tools remains to be seen in the coming weeks.
