Privacy Policy
BurpeeTalk News (functionalnews.nl) values your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and why. In short: we only keep anonymous visitor statistics, with no tracking cookies and no personal data.
What data do we collect?
To see which articles are popular and how we can improve the site, we measure anonymously:
- which page you view;
- which website you arrived from (the referrer);
- a temporary, random session id that only lives in your own browser (sessionStorage) and disappears as soon as you close the tab;
- the time of your visit.
We do not store IP addresses, we use no tracking cookies, and we share nothing with third parties such as advertising networks. This data cannot be traced back to you as an individual.
Cookies
We use no cookies for statistics. The only cookie on the site is a strictly necessary login cookie for the editorial team (the admin area). It is needed to stay logged in and is not used for tracking.
What do we use this data for?
Only to produce anonymised statistics: how many visits there are, which pages are popular and where visitors come from. We use those insights to improve the content and the site.
Retention
We keep the anonymised statistics for as long as they are useful to follow trends. Because they cannot be traced back to individuals, they contain no personal data.
Your rights
Because we do not process personal data, there is nothing to trace, access or delete on your behalf. Still have questions about privacy on this site? Contact us at burpeetalknews@gmail.com.
Changes
We may update this privacy policy as the site changes. The date below shows the latest version.
