Abbie Domit and Jack Farlow win inaugural XENOM, set world records

The CrossFit season has a new event to its name. Last weekend, Frisco, Texas hosted the inaugural edition of XENOM, a multi-discipline competition that bills itself as the 'Decathlon of Fitness.' With 550 athletes across three divisions, Elite, Rx, and Compete, the new format passed its first test in convincing fashion.

In the Elite division, it was Abbie Domit and Jack Farlow who were crowned the first-ever XENOM champions. Both athletes set world records in the process, raising the bar high for future editions of the event.

A notable detail: the Elite Pairs division drew several athletes from PRVN Fitness, the well-known coaching program. XENOM appears to be quickly establishing itself as a stage where the upper echelon of the CrossFit world converges.

XENOM is an event worth watching. The format promises a broad fitness test that goes beyond the traditional CrossFit competition structure, and this first edition made clear that both the level of competition and the ambitions behind it are firmly in place.
