Annie Thorisdottir releases book on vulnerability and career

14 June 2026, 22:53 (100 days ago) · BurpeeTalk News editorial

Annie Thorisdottir has announced that her book 'Iceland Annie' will be released on July 7. The Icelander, who has won the CrossFit Games multiple times, describes the writing process as a different kind of vulnerability than the one sport has taught her.

In her post, she explains that being honest about her own mistakes, blind spots, and poor decisions felt more uncomfortable than writing about difficult moments as an athlete. She says she is nervous about the publication, but at the same time sees that feeling as a good sign.

The book is available for pre-order through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and St. Martin's. Signed copies can be ordered through Premiere Collectibles. Thorisdottir directed readers to her original Instagram post for more information.
