CrossFit Athlete Council discusses plans for 2027 season

The CrossFit Athlete Council (CAC) held its September meeting last week alongside members of CrossFit HQ. Notably absent was Dave Castro, who had already indicated in his Week in Review that he would not be attending.

Several topics on the agenda concerned the 2027 season. New medical eligibility requirements were discussed, along with an update on the structure of that year's CrossFit Games.

The meeting also covered term limits for CAC members and the earning of CEUs for officials and judges. These kinds of discussions offer an early look at the direction CrossFit is heading in the coming years.

For Dutch athletes and coaches who are active or aspire to compete at a high level, the medical regulations and judging guidelines are particularly relevant. Further details are expected to be published at a later date.
