CrossFit Open 2027 starts on February 18, one week earlier than last year

6 August 2026, 13:18 (1 hour ago) · BurpeeTalk News editorial

The dust had barely settled after the CrossFit Games 2026 when the organization announced the schedule for the next season. The 2027 CrossFit Open will kick off on February 18, 2027, one week earlier than in the two previous years.

For Dutch athletes, this means that preparation for the new season can now officially begin. Anyone looking to qualify for the higher rounds has 206 days from today to get to work.

The earlier start date could have consequences for the training schedules of gyms and individual athletes. One less week of preparation may sound like a small difference, but in the competitive CrossFit world it can make all the difference.

Further details about the structure of the 2027 season, such as the qualification format and the format of the Open workouts, have not yet been announced. BurpeeTalk News will keep you informed as soon as CrossFit shares more information.
