Dan Bailey (42) repeats iconic CrossFit Games workout thirteen years later

11 August 2026, 06:53 (43 days ago) · BurpeeTalk News editorial

Dan Bailey is one of the most beloved names in CrossFit history. The American, now 42 years old, recently decided to return to a workout that put him on the map at the 2013 CrossFit Games.

The workout in question is called '2007' and is one of the classic benchmarks in the competitive CrossFit world. Bailey completed the workout at the time in a score that was long considered a standard by many athletes.

Thirteen years later, Bailey stepped back onto the floor to see how much he still has in the tank. It is a fine example of how CrossFit veterans continue to practice the sport, long after their competitive peak.

For CrossFit fans, this is an inspiring reminder of the rich history of the sport. Bailey proved that age does not have to be a barrier to continuing to take on classic workouts seriously.
