Two More Athletes Under Scrutiny for False Judge Submission at CrossFit Online Semifinals

The doping and integrity scandal surrounding the CrossFit Online Semifinals continues to unfold. Earlier this week, it emerged that Turkish athlete Eren Yayla had received a two-year suspension for judge misrepresentation, submitting a false official's name alongside competition scores. Now, two more athletes appear to have engaged in the same practice.

Both Mahsa Rezaeemanesh and Coşkun Aydın allegedly listed Oleksandra Berezutska as their judge when submitting scores for the Online Semifinals. However, Berezutska did not actually judge either of them. The case involves fraudulently naming a judge who was neither present nor involved in the assessment.

Whether CrossFit Inc. will take disciplinary action against Rezaeemanesh and Aydın has not yet been confirmed. Given the precedent set by Yayla's suspension, enforcement appears likely. The case once again raises questions about the verifiability of online score submissions within CrossFit's competition structure.

The issue is a sensitive one for the CrossFit community. Online qualifying events have long faced scrutiny due to the difficulty of ensuring fair oversight. These latest revelations will undoubtedly fuel further debate about the reliability of the current system.
