Weersma ready for biggest race of the season after strong year

Hidde Weersma has taken to Instagram to announce he is ready for what he calls the biggest race of the season. The Dutch Hyrox athlete looks back on a strong year and makes clear he is far from done.

This season, Weersma stood on the podium multiple times, both in the solo category and in the doubles category alongside Thierry Raoul. He also claimed the EMEA Championship title and briefly held the world record before the mark was surpassed.

In his post, Weersma writes that his 'last preps are in full swing' and emphasises that he is ready to fight and suffer for every second. He does not explicitly reveal which race he is referring to, but the tone leaves little doubt that something big is on the horizon.
