Wietrzyk returns at Hyrox Elite Series in Hamburg

Joanna Wietrzyk, the world's top-ranked female Hyrox athlete, is returning to the competition floor. The Polish athlete will compete in the Elite Series in Hamburg, her first official appearance since the incident that brought her global attention a month ago.

During that earlier race, Wietrzyk experienced a bout of diarrhea, something she later openly acknowledged in a personal statement and a public apology. After that statement, she went quiet on social media and stepped away from competition.

Shortly before this report, she also published a video announcing her return. With that, she appears ready to move forward and set her sights on what lies ahead.

The question now is how Wietrzyk will perform in Hamburg and whether she can reaffirm her status as an elite athlete with all eyes on her.
