2026 Hyrox World Championships to be held in Stockholm

Hyrox has officially announced that the 2026 World Championships will take place in Stockholm, Sweden. The event will be held at the Strawberry Arena, one of Scandinavia's most prominent indoor venues, and is scheduled for June 18–21, 2026.

It marks the first time Hyrox has brought its season finale to Sweden, underscoring the sport's continued international growth. Following the record-breaking 2025 World Championships in Chicago, all eyes now turn to Stockholm, where athletes from around the globe will compete for world titles across various age categories and the singles and doubles divisions.

The event will feature two major competitions: the Elite 15 World Championships for professional athletes and the Age Group World Championships for recreational participants. Both competitions require athletes to have qualified through the regular Hyrox season. For the Elite 15 category, qualification is exclusively achieved through results at Major races or regional championships.

New for 2026 is the qualification process for the Mixed Relay Invitational. Twenty nations will be selected via the so-called National Performance Index (NPI), including host nation Sweden. The remaining nineteen spots will be determined based on the combined results of each country's top male and female athletes.
