CrossFit Games 2026 to feature twenty events across four competition days
The 2026 CrossFit Games are shaping up to be a historic edition. CrossFit announced via newsletter that athletes will face twenty scored events this year, spread across four competition days. The event is celebrating its twentieth anniversary in style.
The previous record stood at fifteen events, a number reached in 2012, 2016, and 2021. Exactly how the twenty events will be structured and scored has not yet been revealed. It is conceivable, for example, that multiple tests will be combined into a single scored event, as has happened in the past.
Tickets for the SAP Center are on sale through Ticketmaster and cover three days: Friday through Sunday. The fourth competition day will therefore likely take place earlier in the week, possibly on Wednesday at the Ranch, followed by a rest day on Thursday. Former programmer Dave Castro has previously stated a preference for a format in which competition days alternate with rest days ahead of the weekend program.
