Hyrox introduces sled with replaceable runners for better consistency

Hyrox has unveiled an updated competition sled this weekend. The key change is on the underside of the sled, where the metal strips that make contact with the carpet are now replaceable.

On the old sleds, worn runners could not be swapped out easily, which led to inconsistencies during the sled push and sled pull. With the new design, an event can act quickly once runners wear down, without having to replace the entire sled.

By swapping out worn runners in time, resistance and sliding conditions remain equal for all athletes. This is relevant for both recreational participants and elite competitors chasing qualification times.

For Dutch Hyrox participants, this update means more reliable and fairer race conditions. The updated sleds were already used at an official Hyrox event this weekend.
