Roman Khrennikov leaves Cookeville and returns to Madison

Roman Khrennikov has announced that he and his family are returning to Madison, Wisconsin. The Russian CrossFit athlete shared the news live on the Out of the Cage Podcast, after host Ricky Garard gave him a spontaneous call.

Khrennikov said the move could take place as soon as this Saturday. He is the latest in a series of athletes to leave Cookeville, the Tennessee city that for years served as a major training hub within the CrossFit world.

For Dutch fans, this is notable news, as Khrennikov ranks among the absolute world elite in CrossFit. A change of environment could affect his training group and his preparation for upcoming competitions, potentially including the CrossFit Games.
