CrossFit updates team prize money, but error remains

CrossFit has updated the prize table for the team division of the CrossFit Games 2026. The change came a day after the CrossFit Athlete Council held a meeting with CrossFit leadership about notable irregularities in the payouts per placement.

Earlier this week, news site The Barbell Spin flagged several unusual discrepancies in the prize distribution for teams. The adjustments are now visible on the official CrossFit Games website.

The problem has not been fully resolved, however. According to reports, the updated table still contains an error, meaning final clarity on the prize money for teams remains elusive.

For Dutch CrossFit teams dreaming of a spot at the Games, this is relevant news. It remains to be seen when CrossFit will publish a fully correct version of the prize table.
