Hyrox publishes rulebook updates for the 2026/27 season

25 June 2026, 10:29 (30 days ago) · BurpeeTalk News editorial

Hyrox has released the official rulebook updates for the 2026/27 season. The organisation issues annual adjustments and clarifications to maintain competition standards, and this year brings several relevant changes for both athletes and officials.

One of the most notable additions is a new provision granting officials the authority to declare an event or event day 'Out of Ranking'. This can have consequences for World Championships qualification, Elite qualification, and the validity of world records. Environmental factors are cited as grounds for such a declaration, suggesting that extreme weather conditions or other external circumstances could trigger the decision.

For Hyrox athletes aiming to qualify for the World Championships this season, staying well-informed about these new rules is especially important. An 'Out of Ranking' declaration could mean that a result does not count toward the rankings or qualification, regardless of the performance delivered.

The full updated rulebook is available through official Hyrox channels. Athletes are advised to review the changes before registering for competitions in the new season.
