Dave Castro announces two new gymnastics movements for 2026 CrossFit Games

CrossFit programmer Dave Castro has announced two brand-new movements that will feature at next year's CrossFit Games, during an appearance on the popular podcast Girls Unfiltered. The movements in question are the Forward Roll From Support and the Backward Roll to Support, two gymnastics skills that have never before been programmed on the world's biggest CrossFit stage.
The movements will be introduced on the final day of the upcoming CrossFit Games, on Sunday, effectively making this weekend a testing ground for what athletes can expect in 2026. Castro also shared video footage of the movements on his Instagram account, giving fans and athletes an early look at what will be required.
The introduction of new gymnastics movements underscores CrossFit's continued drive to broaden its programming and challenge athletes in the areas of body control and coordination. Anyone aiming to compete at the Games in 2026 would be well advised to start incorporating these movements into their training.
