Medeiros injured after accident, misses WZA SoCal

Justin Medeiros, two-time CrossFit Games champion, was involved in an accident and will not be competing at WZA SoCal. He was set to compete alongside his fiancée Ellie Turner for Team Outcast during the Battle of the Camps.

Turner will also not take part in the event. The duo's withdrawal was officially announced by the Wodapalooza organization shortly after the news broke.

Their spots on the team will be filled by Jack Farlow and Abbie Domit, who stepped in within an hour of the announcement.

For CrossFit fans, this is notable news, as Medeiros is considered one of the biggest names in the sport. How serious the accident was and when he is expected to recover has not yet been disclosed.
